The Science Programme Committee of ESA approved in May 1998 the
transfer of the Archive of IUE to the Laboratorio de
Astrofísica Espacial y Física Fundamental (LAEFF)
of INTA. As a consequence a Transfer Programme was started at
LAEFF under contract to ESA with the goal of
passing the responsibilities for the maintenance of the Archive
and the associated distribution system, the INES System, from
the ESA IUE Project to the LAEFF.
The INES System version 3.0 includes the following new features:
- Built-in Name Resolver.
- New Homogenization of object Names and Coordinates.
- Search by list of objects.
- Plots including errors and quality flags.
-
Bibliographic references have been updated up to October
2000. There are 66683 entries giving a reference between
IUE images and 3725 published papers in the main
Journals.
-
National Host and Principal Centre software, version 3.0, was
developed jointly by ESA and LAEFF under the "INES Transfer

as graphic subroutine library.
The INES System version 2.0 was a major upgrade of the
previous prototype release (1.0) developed under the
framework outlined above. The main features in this version
were:

problems, like missing raw data or processing problems.
These images are considered as non-existent.
-

1998. There were 60849 entries giving a reference between
IUE images and 3585 published papers in the main
Journals.
-
